Challenge.

Fordyno was approached by CRRC MA to assist with the design development to support the Boston Orange Line bid.

The project was of strategic importance to CRRC to develop their overseas business arm. Tight timeframes meant that deliverables had to be completed efficiently and to the technical requirements set out by the authority.

Approach

Leading up to the bid submission Fordyno developed 2 full proposals to accompany CRRC MA’s submission.

Details were designed and validated against the technical requirements of the bid.

A Successful Conclusion.

CRRC MA were awarded the $556.6 million dollar contract and went on to develop the new cars with the first cars due to enter service in 2022 .
